Gay Ellen Partlow's Obituary
Gay Ellen Partlow, 77, of Chesapeake, passed away peacefully in her home on August 16, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eric and Shirley Hensley.
She is survived by her children, Lance (Rachel) Partlow, Scott (Cindy) Partlow, Crystal (John) Russell-Kruer, and Kendal Partlow, her siblings, Linda Egnor, Gary Hensley, and Roger Hensley, and her grandchildren, Damon, Kayla, Zachary, Kendie, and Kaid.
Gay loved animals and was a tireless advocate on their behalf, volunteering with several rescue organizations through the years, including Help For Animals, Inc. She fostered and placed countless cats and dogs in caring homes during the many years that she was actively involved with what was her life-long passion. Gay was an avid proponent of spaying and neutering to reduce cat and dog overpopulation.
Her family will honor her wishes of no funeral service, although a private memorial service will be held in the future.
