George W. Callahan, Jr., 75, of Ironton, Ohio passed away Thursday January 24, 2019 at Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley, Ironton, Ohio. He was born January 9, 1944 is Lucedale, Mississippi son of Ouida Bryan Callahan of Mississippi and the late George W. Callahan, Sr. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one son Stephen John Callahan. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law Bryan and Linda Callahan of Ashland, KY, and Robert Blake Callahan of Mississippi; four grandchildren Brianna and Jacob Callahan, and Brady and Bryleigh Callahan; two brothers Dodge Callahan and Harry Callahan both of Mississippi; three sisters Stephanie Wilkins of Texas, Anneva Jordan of Florida and Karen Slovak of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Charles Turley. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at the funeral home.
