George Edward Fortner Jr.'s Obituary
George Edward Fortner Jr., 58, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday November 11, 2025, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born on January 1, 1967, to the late Jonda Sue Bess and George Edward Fortner Sr. He was also preceded in death by Donna Fortner. He is survived by his wife Loretta Fortner, daughters Amanda (Frankie) Poston and Amber Fortner, granddaughter Polaris Poston, special nieces Lisa Thompson, Rebecca Thompson, Gracie Thompson, and nephews Jimmy Thompson Jr., Gregory Thompson, and Hunter Rickett. He was a Navy Veteran and loved talking on his CB radio. He worked in the mental health field at Prestera for over 30 years. A service will be held at a later date at this time. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at ehallfuneralhome.com
