George Richard Hysell's Obituary
George Richard Hysell, 66, of South Point, OH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 2, 2026, at home surrounded by his loved ones. George was born on April 21, 1959, in Huntington, WV to the late Harry and Annabelle Hysell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Mark Hysell, Tom Hysell, and Jon Hysell; sisters Elizabeth Davis and Janet Taulbee; nephew Devin Wagner. George was someone with many talents and jobs. His most important job that he loved was being a dad and papaw. George always had a smile on his face when you saw him. He also had a big heart and was selfless and helped anyone in need. If you knew George, you loved George. He loved his son and grandkids. He will be deeply missed by his family. He is survived by his son Chris (Amy) Hysell; grandkids Brayden Hysell, Harleigh Hysell, and Grady Hysell; Siblings Bud (Harry) Hysell, Jean Corns, and Debbie McCloud. A celebration of life will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Rose of Sharron in Proctorville, Ohio.
