Geraldine James' Obituary
GERALDINE JAMES, 84, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 14, 2012, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be Noon Friday, May 18, 2012, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Tyree and Minister Jeff Garrett officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. Geraldine was born February 9, 1928, in Lawrence County, OH, a daughter of the late Don and Madeline Adkins Smith. She was a homemaker and a founding member of First Baptist Church of Chesapeake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. James; her twin sister, Sherleen Day; and her step-father, Clarence Butcher. Geraldine is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ron and Jackie James of Proctorville, OH, Larry James of Beverly, OH, and Dennis and Vickie James of South Point, OH; four grandchildren, Brea McClung, and Summer, Shannon, and Brock James; three great grandchildren, Hayden James, Gunnar McClung, and Isabella James; and several extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 11 AM to Noon Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702.
