Gerriel Alexander Brown, Jr.'s Obituary
Gerriel Alexander Brown, Jr., 45, of Ashland, KY passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, in UK Healthcare Center, Lexington, KY. He was born January 15, 1978, in Huntington, WV. He was the son of the late Gerriel Brown, Sr and Clara Thornhill Brown; also a brother to the late Russell Thornhill. Junior is survived by four sisters, Helen Thornhill, Renea Brown, Regina Brown and Rita Brown; eleven children, Brennon Brown, Jaden Leach, Ty Oliver, Alex Viars, Vinnie Pallabino Brown, Baylee Robinson, Auzah Vansant, Marcus Frazier, Gabby Robinson, Ryah Watson, and Renezame Brown; and three grandchildren, Jayshaun Wright, Jayren Moore and Jamiyah Moore. Our Junior had a love and passion for sports, coaching and mentoring. He dedicated over ten years to coaching youth leagues. He was a coach with Huntington Hawks Football League, DC Express Football, and AAU Huntington Elite Basketball. The teams he coached achieved two Championship titles while coaching. Junior will be greatly missed by his players, friends and family. Funeral service will be conducted with Pastor J.D. Crockrel officiating 1 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, at Christ Temple Church, Ashland, KY with the visitation being held one hour prior to the service also at the church. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
