Glen Raymond Adkins' Obituary
Glen Raymond Adkins, 64, of Milton passed away Monday, September 8th after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born October 7, 1960, in Huntington, WV son of Ann Adkins and the late Orvel G. Adkins. Preceded in death by his long-time partner, Christine Dingess, and his niece Kayla Adkins. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. Glen was a graduate of Huntington East High School class of 1978. He was a member of the marching band, playing saxophone and earning the nick name “Squeaky”. Recently retiring after over forty years of being a mechanic, he enjoyed rescuing any dog he found, watching NASCAR, and rebuilding cars. Glen is survived by his mother Virginia Ann Adkins of Milton; sister Cheryl Adkins (Kevin) of Nashville; two nieces Caitlin Holbrook (Alex) of Charlotte, and Kristen Adkins of Nashville; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His greatest treasures are his fur babies-Max, Spunky and Sophie will miss him dearly. Graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, September 12, 2025, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville WV, in the mausoleum. Rev ES Harper will be officiating. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
