Gloria Faye Houck's Obituary
Gloria Faye Houck, 75, of Huntington, WV passed away at home surrounded by loving family on December 25, 2021. She was born on July 19, 1946, in Huntington, WV daughter of the late George O. Christian and Ina Frances Daniels.
She was also preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Janie Christian. She is survived by her husband, Gary T. Houck.
Daughters, Cindy Arnold (Tim) of Columbus, OH and Debbie Sheridan (Tim) of Cincinatti, OH.
Four grandchildren, Charles Ratcliff II of Oklahoma City, Niki Cermak (Jim) of Pittsburgh, PA, Elliott Sheridan of Cincinatti, OH and Carole Ann Sheridan of Cincinatti, OH, and her great granddaughter, Zoie.
Loving nephew, Jimmy Wolford (Jenny) of Delaware: great-nephew Jayden; great-niece Cheyenne; and great-grandnephew Tyriq.
Gloria Faye, was a quiet person who loved preparing large family and friend gatherings. A member of Ceredo Christian Baptist church, Faye's christian strength upheld her through two battles with cancer. She shared her love for family by committing many hours towards researching family ancestry. Her beloved dog, Dusty, mostly took residence on her lap which was his refuge.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Chris Day at 2 p.m. followed by the burial at Forest Lawn Cemetary in Huntington, WV.
