Gordon Watts Black's Obituary
Gordon Watts Black, 88, of Proctorville, OH, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at Cabell Health Care Center in Culloden, WV. He was born May 31, 1937, in Huntington, WV to the late Charles and Marcella Bloir Black. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret “Sissy” Black; one son Gordon W. Black Jr.; one sister June Beach; four brothers Mike Black, Berlin Black, Lloyd Black and Leon Black. He was an Army Veteran and retired from AC & F Industries. He is survived by two daughters Rhonda (Johnny) Noble of South Point OH, and Sherry (Dave) Pelphrey of Proctorville, OH; five grandchildren Johnny Noble, Lindsay Short, Crystal Black, Tamara Black, Dustin Jacob Black; three sisters Rose Smith, Lohoma Weekley, and Sue Bryant; daughter in law Evelyn Black; a host of great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Private family services were held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
