Greg "GG" Walters' Obituary
Greg “GG” Walters, 56, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at home. He was born on October 17, 1968, to Sharon and George Walters in Proctorville, OH. He proudly served on the Rome Township Volunteer Fire Department, for 15 years he was a security guard with the rank of Supervising Sergeant.
Greg was a die-hard Ohio State, Bengals, and Trump fan. He loved telling stories and talking about old times. G was always cracking jokes and being goofy just to make people laugh. Bringing joy to others was one of his greatest gifts, and he did it effortlessly. Greg had many friends throughout life who meant a lot to him. He was a stubborn man, no doubt about it. But underneath the tough exterior, was a heart of gold.
He loved his kids more than anything and not a day went by where he didn’t talk about them and his grandkids. He was so proud of them. He loved his family and friends fiercely and never hesitated to show it in his own way. He is survived by two sons Greg Walters (Ashley) and Caleb Walters; one daughter Jessica Brownfield (Joey); five grandchildren to carry on his legacy and who were his pride and joy, Gregory II, Emma, Ainsley, and Gabriel Walters and Noah Bradley; father, George Walters; sister Kim Heinl (Jeff); brother Stoney Walters; and several nieces and nephews.
