Gregory Allan Gilkison's Obituary
Greg Gilkison, age 63, of Proctorville, Ohio unexpectedly passed away on March 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis, and brother Mike. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jane; his sons Jeff and Brad; beloved granddaughter Rowan; sisters Debbie and Sandy; and pet Rosie. Greg was born in Joliet, Illinois, and grew up in Chesapeake, Ohio. He is a decorated US Navy veteran, who served aboard the USS Nimitz while traveling the world. He and his wife were married and raised their two sons in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Greg graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Electrical Engineering before relocating back to Ohio with his family. He retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers after 16 years of service in 2021. Since retiring, he has enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Per his wishes, there will not be a service at this time, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
