HAROLD H. SMITH, JR., 84, of South Point, OH, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013, peacefully at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. Harold was born April 7, 1929, in Morehead, KY. He retired from Dayton-Walters. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Rosie Jane Fraley Abshire and Clyde Abshire; his wife, Lillian Hughes Smith; his daughter, Sharon Langley; his brother, Eugene Smith; and his step-brother, Dennis Abshire. Harold is survived by his children, Linda (Adrian) Finch of High Point, NC, Carolyn (Dewey) Cordle of Minford, OH, Barbara (Bill) Bradley of Chesapeake, OH, Harold H. Smith, Jr. of Franklin Furnace, OH, and Deborah (Roy) Williams of Portsmouth, OH; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Shirley Hughes; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Lassa Hughes of Huntington, WV.
