Harrison Robert Jenkins' Obituary
Harrison Robert Jenkins, 77, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the lord on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born April 25, 1943 in Glenwood, WV son of the late Willie and Alma Smith Jenkins. He retired from French Tavern and also worked at Macks Department Store. He was a very hard-working man and always provided for his family. He enjoyed watching westerns and listening to Gospel Singing at home and church. His smile would light up a room. He would help anyone that needed it. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters Ellen Black and Zetty Black; one brother Willard Jenkins; three nephews Frank Black, Jimmy Black, and Dakota Black; and two grandsons Brandon Jenkins and Ricky Jenkins Jr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Lula Jane Jenkins (Lou); two daughters Theresa Jenkins (John) Clary of Lesage, WV, and Brenda Jenkins Meng of Huntington, WV; son Ricky Allen Jenkins, Sr. of Huntington, WV; brother Richard Jenkins of Huntington, WV; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as his faithful furry friend, his dog Boots. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday August 29, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Lesage, WV.
