Harry Leroy Hamlin's Obituary
Harry Leroy Hamlin, 69, of Lesage, WV, passed away Sunday February 2, 2025 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born October 16, 1955 in Huntington, WV to the late Hershell and Marjorie Nelson Hamlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Fuller. He is survived by his fiancé Sandra Hogsett; four children Matthew Hamlin (Heather), Shelly Crank, Curtis Hamlin (Royce) and Sarah Hamlin; one stepdaughter Cassie Mathley; grandchildren Olivia Murdock, Aria Hamlin Jaclyn Harvey, Kaylee Smith, Chase Hamlin, Mattalyn Hamlin, Zack Basenback, Colt Hamlin, Ruger Hamlin, Wesson Hamlin, Leilani Harriott, Jerrika Mathley, Nate Smith, Kyle Smith, Tessa Smith, Ethan Smith, and Caleb Smith; eight great grandchildren and one on the way; several step grandchildren; siblings Leslie Hamlin (Linda), Rita Scaggs (Eddie), Bonnie Fuller (Paul), Eddie Hamlin (Veronica), Gary Dean Hamlin (Mary), and Ray Hamlin; special nephew Brian Hamlin; and many other nieces and nephews. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and a member of Barboursville American Legion Post #177. He was a member of the DAV in Huntington. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday February 6, 2025 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home Chesapeake, Ohio. Burial will follow Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday February 5, 2025 at the funeral home. Following his burial, there will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post 177, Barboursville, WV.
