Helen Milem's Obituary
HELEN GIBSON MILEM, 97, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 18, 2014, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Helen was born September 1, 1916, in Lawrence County, OH, a daughter of the late Leonard D. and Grace Robinson Gibson. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Arthur Milem, Sr.; her son, Harry Arthur Milem, Jr.; two sisters, Lenna Odman and Lenore Snell; five brothers, Ezra, Eugene, John, Jimmy, and Stewart Gibson; and two daughters-in-law, Marsha McKee Milem and Barbara Boyer Milem. Helen is survived by two sons, David Milem of Burlington, OH, and Douglas Milem of South Point, OH; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanie and Don Winters of South Point, OH, one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Gallaher Milem of South Point, OH; 10 grandchildren, Dr. Charles Milem, Elizabeth Wack, Elaine Milem, Davey Milem, Kirby Milem, Allison Stamper, Amy Milem, Kevin Winters, Susan Wheeler, and Andrea Pennington; and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. There will be a private graveside service Friday at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. Burial will follow. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.schneidergriffin.com.
