Herman "Lee" Spears Jr, 83, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at The Emogen Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born on March 28, 1940, in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father Herman Lee Spears Sr; and wife Aletha Kay Spears. He retired from West Virginia American Water Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, OH. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his mother, Esta Marie Spears; three sons Gregory (Christa), Anthony, and Randy Spears; seven grandchildren Kylie Myers, Zachary Spears, Erin Hall, Allison Spears, Brinkley Spears, Lacie Tackett, and Melissa Wellman; and six great grandchildren Harlan Myers, Boyd Myers, Trevor Hall, Will Wellman, Journey Wellman, and Braxton Tackett. Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, November 24, 2023, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Randy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
