Hermetta "Jane" Stephen Clements' Obituary
HERMETTA "JANE" STEPHEN CLEMENTS, 86, of DeBary, FL, formerly of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, April 28, 2014 at her residence. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, May 2, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Curt Stephen officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Jane was born April 1, 1928, in South Point, OH, a daughter of the late Herman O. and Mary J. Mills Bowman. She was a retired professor from the Sociology Department of Marshall University, a member of Volusia County Baptist Church, volunteered for over 20 years doing income tax for AARP, and after her retirement she was friends of the South Point Library for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Charles Ross Stephen; and two sons, Charles L. and Robert H. Stephen. Jane is survived by her second husband, Fred L. Clements; two grandchildren, Katherine (Mark) Blix, and Lyndsay (Jesse) Phillips; four great grandchildren, Katie, Charlie, Molly, Jacob; her daughter-in-law, Laura Stephen and her husband, Robert Gray; and brother-in-law and his wife, Curt and Zilpha Stephen.
