Hester Nichols' Obituary
HESTER NICHOLS, 92, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 22, 2016, in Heartland of Riverview. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, June 24, 2016, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with James Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Hester was born May 29, 1924, in Lawrence County, OH, a daughter of the late Ernest and Ceolia Harmon Pemberton. She was a homemaker and a member of South Point Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Nellie Baker, whom raised her; her husband, Douglas Nichols; two sons, Harlow Douglas Nichols and Terry Joe Nichols; two great grandchildren; Paxson and Roman Joy; and three sisters, Thelma Riley, Alma Ellis, and Gracie Webb. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy (Ray) Finley; granddaughter and her husband, Trisha (Zane) Joy; two great grandchildren, Myles and Zeke Joy; and a host of special nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
