Hope Russell's Obituary
Elizabeth Hope Russell, 80, of South Point, formerly of Milton, WV, passed away November 23, 2024, at Legacy Nursing Home and Rehab Center in South Point, Ohio. Born on August 4, 1944, she was the daughter of Richard and Jean Speck Spreaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her baby sister, Donna Chapman; her husband, Jim Russell; her two sons, Larry Gool and Joseph Russell, and several uncles and one aunt. She is survived by one daughter, Jan Martin; one brother, Richard Lee Spreacker; one sister, Gloria Jean Adkins Tomblin; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews and one aunt, Joyce Whitmore, and many special friends. Hope never met a stranger and could make you laugh even when your day seemed liked the worst! The family would like to send a special thank you out to Legacy in South Point and especially to her primary doctor, Dr. Apgar, for the professional and personal care they provided her over the last few years. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio, with Dan Spreaker, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV.
