Hubert Ferris' Obituary
Hubert J. Ferris, 85, passed away at home on May 20, 2025. He was born on March 22, 1940, to the late Erskin and May Ferris. He was proceeded in death by his first wife Wilma Gail (Hilgenberg) Ferris, his daughter Teresa Chafin, son Martin Ferris, and multiple siblings. He is survived by Wanda “Wilson” Ferris, daughter Ruth Ann Rice of Huntington, West Virginia, grandchildren Dustin R. Ferris, Dakota A. Rice, Madison K. Thompson, and 5 more, 12 great grandchildren, sisters Freda M. Foster of Piketon, Ohio, and Shirley A. Ferris of Chesapeake, Ohio, lifelong best friend and neighbor Kenny Ferris, and multiple nieces and nephews. Hubert loved all his friends and family. There is not a soul the man would not help. He loved to laugh and reminiscence. He could put a smile on anyone’s face. Services will be held on Friday May 23, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio, beginning with a visitation from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM and at 2:30 a graveside service at Hilgenberg Family Cemetery in Aid, Ohio.
