Ilona Joan Napier's Obituary
Ilona Joan Napier, 83, of Getaway, OH, passed on to be with the Lord, her husband, her parents, and siblings on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington WV. She was born January 8th, 1940 in Junior, WV. Ilona was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Napier; her father Burton Steerman; her mother Mabel Steerman; and 2 brothers, Ed and James Steerman. Ilona was a life-long resident of Lawrence County and a life-long member of the Greasy Ridge Church of Christ. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Paula Riebel, Sheley Napier and a son Robert (Brandae) Napier; grandchildren, Shannon Morrison, Seth (Bekah) Morrison, Shaun (Jess) Morrison, Amanda (Chad) Todd, Taylor (Will) Burden, Cassandra Campbell and Drake Campbell; 14 great grandchildren, Cameron Todd, Haley Todd, Brylee Todd, Kendall Morrison, Sullivan Morrison, Ellington Morrison, Maclane Morrison, Maebel Morrison, Rhodes Morrison, Cayden Jones, Paislee Jones, Soren Michael, Silas Michael, Scarlett Black and 1 great-great grandchild, Emmy Stark. She is also survived by 4 sisters Doris Christian, June Swick, Carol (Bill) Perks, Wilda (Jim) Martin and 1 brother Charles (Mary) Steerman. The family would like to give special thanks to Saint Mary's Medical Center, Abbott Home Health, DaVita Dialysis Center and Hospice of Huntington for all their kindness. There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Greasy Ridge Church of Christ on Saturday, August 19th, 2023 at 6-8pm. The family can arrive at 5pm.
