Ivan Anthony Garrett's Obituary
Obituary Ivan Anthony Garrett, 68, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born on May 20, 1956. Ivan was preceded in death by his father William Thomas Garrett (W.T.) and his mother Emma Jean Jackson Garrett Canado. Ivan will be lovingly remembered by his partner Nancy Houston, his son Taurean Anthony Garrett of Huntington, WV: his three grandchildren Taurean Garrett of Huntington, WV, Kingston Garrett of Chesapeake, OH, and granddaughter Nova Lee Garrett of Charlotte, NC; his siblings: William Garrett (Tina), Teresa Crisp, Vickie Garrett of Huntington, WV, Rosa Cleckley (Steven) of Chesapeake, OH, and Karen Trina Myers (Dana) of Huntington, WV. Ivan also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Ivan loved the outdoors, dogs, science fiction movies and arts and crafts. You could always catch him riding through the city on his bicycle. All those close to him called him Tony. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who love him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Young Chapel A.M.E. Church, 836 18th Street, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 12:00 P.M.
