Ivy May Lynn Hackworth's Obituary
Ivy May Lynn Hackworth and Atlas Creed Dale Hackworth, passed peacefully in the arms of family on March 2, 2023. During their short time here on earth they touched many lives and they were loved deeply by family and friends. Their life was a brief gift to us that will live on and will be carried with us going into every day. We will find you in every rainbow brightening cloudy skies, every butterfly pushing itself through the wind. Ivy and Atlas were the beloved children of Samantha Hackworth and BJ Summerlin. They are also survived by one sibling, Nova Skye Dawn Hackworth who will miss them very much; maternal grandparents, Roger and Jamie Hackworth of Huntington, WV; paternal grandmother, Ledrianne Emley of Detroit, MI; paternal great grandmother, Carra Thompson of Milton, WV. Atlas and Ivy will forever live on in all of the hearts that survive them, holding their beautiful memory close and living life every day for all the days they missed on earth. We will cherish every blessing, as they were one to us. Never to be forgotten by a large, loving family: Bailey Hackworth, Eric and Ariana Hackworth, Brian and Bailey Hackworth, Zach Hackworth, Toby Hackworth, Daniel Hackworth, Rachel Fraley, Jessica Jones, great aunt Donna Rose, Joe and Jessica Richman and a host of cousins, Haven Hackworth, Hayden Hackworth, Ava Hackworth and Evelyn Hackworth. There will be a funeral service held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Burial will follow at McCormick's Cemetery in Proctorville, OH where they will rest with their beloved special cousin, Chase Dale Christopher Hackworth. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam, and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belongs to our world: but then it flies again. And though we wish it could have stayed, we feel so lucky to have seen it.Your hearts may not have been strong enough for this world, but the wings you'll find will carry you forever more.
