J. JOHN KEENEY, 78, of Chesapeake, OH, widower of Phyllis McCoy Keeney, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2014, in Heartland of Riverview. Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, January 13, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Carter Henson officiating. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Cemetery. John was born August 20, 1935, a son of the late Fred and Spicie Keeney. He was a retired service manager from Shafer Motors. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by eight siblings. Those left to cherish his loving memories are his only child, Rhonda Keeney Vance; grandchildren, Johnray (Kari) Vance and Amanda Vance Pyles. He was a loving PapPaw to Baylor, Corbin, and Garrett Pyles, and Emily Ann Vance all of Chesapeake. He is also survived by his siblings, Mildred Graham, Norbert Keeney, Bonnie Hammock, Harold Keeney, and Jerry Keeney; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
