Jack Hatten Dillard's Obituary
Jack Hatten Dillard, 93, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on August 30, 2025. Born on February 2,1932 in Glenwood, WV, to Howard and Georgia (Bias)Dillard. He was a devoted husband to Barbara (Pixie) Dillard and a loving father to Tony Dillard. Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent over 50 years working as a Service and body shop manager at Galigher Ford Center in Huntington, WV, where he was known for his hard work and generous nature. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family, friends, and his passions. Though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of many qualities, including but not limited to integrity, kindness, and generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Dad's hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed working around the house, gardening and in his later years became quite a golf enthusiast, often spending his weekends on the links. His love for others was something he shared with his children, leaving a mark on us that will never fade. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Pixie) Dillard, son Tony Dillard, grandchildren, Anthony and Taylor Dillard and great grandchildren, Ava Thacker, Addison and Bailey Waddell, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ASPCA, a cause close to Dad's heart. We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. Services are pending at this time.
