Jack Wilbur Tolliver's Obituary
Jack Wilbur Tolliver, age 85, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away surrounded by the love of his family early Sunday morning, April 7, 2024. Jack was born December 7, 1938, in Hitchins, Kentucky. The definition of a hard worker, Jack started his career in industrial construction, by becoming a Millwright at the age of 17. Several years later, after traveling throughout the United States, he returned home and became the superintendent of a local construction company. Additionally, he was a member of the Shriner's Hillbilly Clan, Clan 1, out of Ashland, Kentucky since 1971. If you were looking for Jack, you would likely find him outside in the yard or in the garage tinkering with anything that had four-wheels or a motor. He instilled his mechanical knowledge and love for racing into his children and his grandchildren; there was not a toy that he could not fix, or a motor he could not get to start. Aside from his love for racing, Jack loved to spend time at the beach or any destination that he could take his boat. He could inevitably be found under an umbrella taking a nap, after he finished the mischief, he had planned for the day.His support of his family was unmatched, no matter the sport or the activity, he was there with a coordinating t-shirt on, to proudly let you know who he was there supporting. Jack loved his family whole-heartedly and would not hesitate to help and support anyone in need. He never failed to let them know he was proud of them. His love for his wife, Patsy, was also something everyone hoped to experience in their life. They shared over 62 years of their lives together and countless cherished memories. He stood, unwavering, as an image of strength and discipline, with his work ethic unrivaled. Through his determination and perseverance, he created a life that provided security and joy for his family. He will be missed beyond words.
