Jackie Earl Blankenship's Obituary
JACKIE EARL BLANKENSHIP, 79, of Barboursville, WV, formerly of Crown City, OH, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015, in Heritage Center in Huntington, WV. A Celebration of Life will be 1 PM Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Jackie was born January 2, 1936, in Braeholm, WV, a son of the late James and Ruth Bond Blankenship. He was a retired iron worker with Local 769 in Ashland, KY, and a US Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Chris Legg; and four brothers, Lester, Frank, Thomas, and James Blankenship. Jackie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn Sue Cooper of Barboursville, WV; two sons, Timothy (Rachael) Blankenship of Grove City, OH, and Jackie Blankenship, Jr; one step-daughter, Cathy Christian of Barboursville, WV; two sisters, Barbara Baylous and Jean France; and one brother, John Blankenship.
