Jackie Dale Carpenter's Obituary
Jackie Dale Carpenter, beloved husband, father and grandfather, 71, of Huntington, WV entered into rest on Monday, December 13, 2021 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington. He was born on February 11, 1950 in Proctorville, OH, son of the late Ernest Carpenter and Clemie (Hayes) Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by three sisters Lisa and Theresa Carpenter and Evelyn (Ed) Ferris; two brothers Nathaniel (Marlene) Carpenter and Clovis (Ruth) Carpenter. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sue; 2 children, Christopher Hopper of San Antonio, TX, and Shanda (Rob) Cole of Kenova, WV; three brothers, Jay Carpenter of Tampa, FL, Shelton Carpenter and Kenneth (Mary) Carpenter of Vinemont, AL; two sisters Charlotte McCloud of Huntington, WV, and Beatrice Johnson of Tampa, FL; one very special granddaughter, Madalynn Cole; a special nephew Paul Woodruff; a host of other nieces and nephews; very special friends John and Dotty Hagan and all of his coffee buddies at Jolly Pirate Donuts. Jackie owned and operated Arnold Continuous Gutters for 35 years. He loved the Lord and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed helping others, old cars and deer hunting.
Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH by Pastor Ravin Fields. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday December 17, 2021. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens in Huntington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Facing Hunger Foodbank or Huntington City Mission. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
