JAMES EDWARD CARTER, 69, of Chesapeake, OH, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Burial will follow. James was born November 28, 1943, a son of the late Walter Lewis and Evelyn Plymale Carter. He was a former machinist at CSX. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and friends. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Donald Carter; and one sister, Iris Napier. James is survived by his wife, Nancy Roy Carter; three children, James E. Carter, II, of Chesapeake, OH, Steven Douglas (Maria) Carter of Amherst, VA, and Shari Dawn (Dirk) Eshem of Chesapeake, OH; five grandchildren, Michael Andrew Carter, Jonathan Christopher Carter, Briana Celine Eshem, Austin Michael Carter, and Adam Daniel Eshem; and one sister, Nancy Martin of Lavalette, WV. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.schneidergriffin.com.
