James F. Day's Obituary
James F. Day, 89, of Prichard, WV, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. He was born July 25, 1936, in Huntington, WV, to the late William E. and Sylvia Dunfee Day. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Dan Day; two sisters Mary Waybright, Kay F. Day, and brother Wilbur Day. He is survived by his wife Donna M. Day; children Robert (Lisa) Day, Bruce (Debbie) Day, and Cheryl (Joe) Sorenson; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and loving extended family the Richards: Gregory, Lenzy, Issabella, and Jacob. James graduated from Huntington East High School and attended Marshall University. He retired from INCO with 35 years of service. He was a Korean War veteran. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rome Proctorville Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
