James "Jim" Lewis Henson's Obituary
James “Jim” Lewis Henson, 85 of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2025. Born on August 31, 1940, in Huntington, he was the son of the late James E. and Betty J. Henson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Kay Henson and his cat, Angel. Jim was retired from the City of Huntington where he was the Housing Inspector for over 30 years. He was well liked by all who knew him. Jim loved watching wrestling and Gunsmoke. He is survived by his daughter, Debora Mann; son, James (Michelle) Henson; 3 grandchildren, Pamela Ash, Dakota Akers, and Heather Henson; nieces and nephews, Pamela Peterson, Wayne (Patty) Platt, John Stanley, Steven Stanley, Michael Stanley, Mary Platt, and Marta Platt, and special friends, Jim (Debbie) Harmon, Glen Sheffield, and Jerome Whitfield. Jim will be remembered and missed by many friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Center and Hospice Services. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 1:00 P.M.
