James "Jami" Patrick Walters' Obituary
James “Jami” Patrick Walters, 45, of Proctorville, Ohio, went home to be with the lord on Thursday, July 2, 2026. He was born January 7, 1981, in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of Deborah “Debbie” Jo Bandy and the late Kenneth “Kenny” Michael Walters. Jami is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth “Kenny” Walters; his paternal grandparents, James and Hope Walters; his aunt, Tamara “Tammy” Walters; his uncle, Jolliffe “Jolli” Walters; and other loved ones. He is survived by His mother, Debbie Bandy, and stepfather, Mark Bandy of Shallotte, North Carolina; His brothers, Jeremy Walters (Jorden) of Cannonsburg, Kentucky, and Jad Walters (Erin) of Cary, North Carolina; His stepbrothers, Josh Bandy and Marcus Bandy of Parkersburg, West Virginia; His maternal grandparents, Norma and Pat Riggs of Proctorville, Ohio; His nieces and nephews: Hannah Crader (John), Griffin Walters, Cadin Walters, and Jace Walters; His aunts and uncles: James “Jim” Walters (Bernetta), Patricia “Patti” Jones (Chuck), Sherman “Beaver” Riggs (Denise), and Joey Salyers (David); His cousins: Matthew Walters (Anne), Bradley Wright, Brian Walters (Jen), Morgan Baskin, Brennen West (Baylee), Kendall Adkins (Kristen), and Kody Riggs; And his great-niece and great-nephew, Josie and Kohen. Jami was deeply passionate about his nephew Griffin and cared greatly about supporting research and families affected by GAND. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
