James "Jim" Brooklyn Bentley Jr.'s Obituary
James “Jim” Brooklyn Bentley Jr., age 69, passed away December 17, 2025, at Hubbard House in Charleston, WV, after a prolonged illness. He was born on May 28, 1956, to the late James B. Bentley and Glendoris Ingram Minner. He graduated from Ripley High School in 1975 and worked as a private contractor prior to obtaining an associate degree from WVUP and beginning a career in the computer science field. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Bentley.
Jim is survived by his wife, Gayle May Wolfe-Bentley; his son, Michael Bentley (Barrett and Remington), stepsons, Brad (Kari, Ryan, Nolan, Wyatt) Wolfe and Heath (Maggie, Nathan, Reese, Sadie) Wolfe; his siblings, Roger (Cathy) Minner, Sharon (Chance) Farley, and Tangi (George) Hypes; his lifelong best friend, Chuck (Susan) Redman, and many other cherished family and friends. Services will be held at a later date. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements.
