James Clayton Moore's Obituary
James Clayton Moore 70, of South Point, Ohio went to be with the Lord on 27th October 2019 at his residence. He was born 18th October 1949, a son to the late Herschel C Moore and Margaret (Snyder)Moore Riggs. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Margaret Moore, a grandson, Corey Nicholas Barker, his maternal grandparents, Hobart and Gladie Snyder, his paternal grandparents, George and Carrie Moore, and his wife of 35 years Onita Helen (Rose) Moore. He is survived by his daughter, Stacie (Clarence) Barker, daughter Terry (Danny Blevins) Price, grandson, Wesley Barker, his stepchildren, Lynda (Alan) Barr, Nathan (Sharon) Jackson, Sherry (Daniel) Bolen and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He also had a very special cousin, Nancy (Brad) Bigger. James liked to be called “Jimmy” and was very friendly. He enjoyed having a laugh and joked a lot. He taught himself how to play a guitar from a young age and sang and played the guitar in gospel groups over the years. He was happy to live long enough to see his grandson Wesley become a police officer and wear a uniform. He was a member of the Milton Apostolic Church. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Norman Stickler. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the funeral home.
