James F. Newman 1934 - 2017
James F. Newman, 83, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Thursday March 30, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born March 26, 1934 in Huntington, WV to the late Dan and Mabel Miller Newman. He retired from Owens Illinois and Hall Funeral Home. He was a member of First Baptist Church Proctorville and Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 F & AM. He is survived by his wife Frances L. Newman; two sons John (Debbie) Newman of Chesapeake and Robert Glen (Jeannie) Newman of Bentonville, AR; five grandchildren Johnathan Newman, Cassie Johnston, Casey Chapelle, Christina Chappelle, and Cherrissa Cummings; 14 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother Dannie Newman of Chesapeake and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jeff Black. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the funeral home with Masonic service to be held at 7:30 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall or ehallfuneralhome.com .
