James Allen Richardson 1931 - 2016
James Allen Richardson, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday December 3, 2016 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation, Huntington, WV. He was born November 1, 1931 in Cabell County, WV to the late James Albert and Elsie Pearl Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Luke Hawkins. He retired from Owens Illinois and was a Korean Army veteran. He was a member of New Baptist Church and American Legion. He was a very talented woodcarver and painter. He shared his talents with the church and was a faithful servant of the Lord. He is survived by his wife Carol Murdock Richardson; three children Michael (Suzy) Richardson of Hurricane, WV, Peggy (Brian) Shepherd of Wellington, Colorado, and Jim (Kathy) Richardson of Matthews, NC; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one brother Arnold Richardson; and special friends Ted, Woody, J.C., and Gary. Funeral service will be conducted 11 A.M. Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Robin Crouch. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday December 6, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Baptist Church Building Fund, Huntington, WV. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
