James Franklin Rowe , Jr.'s Obituary
James Franklin Rowe Jr., 67, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. He was born August 6, 1955 in Martin, KY to the late James F. Rowe Sr. and Lena Grace Rowe. James was familiar with the Apostolic Church where he attended the Apostolic Church in Decatur, Ohio in the 70's. After some time in 1988 he attended a revival at the Apostolic Life Cathedral in Huntington, West Virginia and received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. That began a commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ that gave him a layman's ministry that would take him to several churches, districts their campgrounds and foreign mission fields where he was not too good to work at any task that needed done. He came to the Apostolic Life Cathedral on Father's Day, 2007. He said the Lord spoke to him to come home and help Brother Harper and help he did. Because of James Rowe's endless work and understanding of electronics and technology he moved Apostolic Life Cathedral into the Twenty-first century. He pioneered campus wide internet, improved our recording technology, launched our Bible series available on line, on line giving, on line streaming of church services, staff for internet maintenance and our television ministry. He was involved in all levels of physical maintenance, security and surveillance. He was involved in all levels of physical maintenance, security and surveillance. He was a member of the Panel of Ministering Elders and a Trustee. His absence leaves an incredible weight on the shoulders of the various staff members he trained. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, James F. (Amy) Rowe III; two daughter, Amanda Christian (Garrett) and Jennifer Roach (Kevin); six grandchildren, Cody and Hayley Rowe, Abby, Lily and Molly Jo Christian and Michael Roach; one sister, Sonja "Eleanor" Collier and four nieces. There will be a funeral service held at 7 p.m. on Monday August 7, 2023 at Apostolic Life Cathedral Church in Huntington, WV with Bishop E.S. Harper officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Hall Funeral Home & Crematory in Proctorville, OH is assisting the family.
