James "Jimmy" Shafer's Obituary
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. James "Jimmy" Shafer born March 6th, 1960, went home to be with Jesus early Saturday morning, January 15th, 2022. He passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, friends and the Holy Spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quenten Emerson Shafer and Frankie Louise Shafer, as well as his infant daughter Tiffany Nicole Shafer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Leigh Ann Shafer, and the light of his life, his best buddy and son, Quenten Graham Shafer. He is also survived by his Father and Mother-in-law, Larry and Wanda Graham; three brothers, Joe (Christy) Shafer, David (Terry) Shafer and Mike (Gail) Shafer; two sisters Elizabeth Gill and Denise (Mike) Riley; one sister in law, Abbe (Emmet) Tomlin; Several nieces and nephews; and close Friends Charles (Angela) Baldwin and Jackie Smith. Jimmy was a wonderful Christian man with a heart full of love, compassion, and hospitality, always welcoming everyone into his home with open arms. He attended Lucinda Baptist Church and worked at PepsiCo for 30 years. His favorite thing to do was work on his antique cars with his son and enjoy the company of his family and friends at car show's. He will be missed by many, for he was loved by many. Services will be held at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022. Family and friends may gather for visitation beginning at 11 am and the funeral will follow at 12 p.m.. Pastor Will Bullock will be conducting the service with Rev. Dennis Young assisting. Jimmy's earthly body will be laid to rest at Miller Memorial Garden, In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lucinda Church in his name.
