James Ralph Stapleton's Obituary
James Ralph Stapleton, 81, of Ironton, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Ky. He was born October 13, 1937 in Ironton, Ohio son of the late Arthur and Dorothy Martin Stapleton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by one sister Freda (Clayton) Meadows of Ironton, Ohio; two brothers Forrest Stapleton of Johnston City, IL and Jess (Melanie) Stapleton of High Point, NC; and special companion Jennifer. He was a member of the National Guard in the 1950’s. He traveled across the U.S. while working many different jobs. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Jeff Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, Ohio. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the funeral home.
