He then owned a coal mine in Nellis, WV. He later worked in a coal mine where he was in a slate fall that injured his back. This resulted in him being disabled but Dad did not want to not work so he talked a doctor into saying he was able to work. He then worked for General Tire in Huntington, WV for many years. He helped in the Logan flood by being the tire person for all the equipment. His last job was at Turman construction in Barboursville, WV where he helped build many bridges over the state of WV. After he retired, he and Rick rebuilt many cars. His most important job was being our Dad and Grandfather. He came to know the Lord as his savior late in life after he was in his nineties.
