James "Jim" Morgan Stone's Obituary
James “Jim” Morgan Stone, 70, of Huntington, WV, passed away on April 22, 2025, at home with his lifelong partner, Kathy Hartman, by his side. Born on July 3, 1954, in Huntington, he was the son of the late Charles and Francis Stone. Jim was smart, witty, and spunky. He graduated from Huntington East High School in 1972 and moved to Texas where he pursued a career in the oil and gas industry. Jim ultimately returned to Huntington, WV, to work in construction, and was an expert craftsman. He had a vast, detailed knowledge of many subjects. Friendships were easily made with everyone he met. Jim was an avid collector and loved antiquing and coins. He also enjoyed his travels with his fiancé, Kathy, and sharing family stories of growing up in West Virginia. He is survived by his fiancé, Kathy Hartman; his only son, Aaron Stone, who brought him so much joy; his favorite daughter-in-law, Dena Stone, and their sons, Tristen Stone, Britten Mireles, Jerin Mireles, and his brother, David Stone. Per Jim’s wishes, there will be no services held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com
