James Floyd Thompson Jr., 66, of Scottown, OH, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 22, 1957 in Huntington, WV to the James Floyd Thompson Sr. and Doris Thompson. He was preceded in death by his father, James Sr.; son, Jeffrey Thompson and sister, Karen Dillon. James was an U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from the army and worked and retired from the United States Postal Service. Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 47 years, Cathy Thompson; mother, Doris Thompson; two sons, James Floyd (Rhonda) Thompson III and Jeremy (Brittany) Thompson; grandchildren, Jacob, Kaileigh, Jeremy, Catelynn and Aubree Thompson, Breonna Woods, Chloe Woods, Addyson Porter, Brody Porter and Kamila Williams; special sister-in-law, Virginia Woodall and special friend, Johnny Ferris.
