James B. Witt, 90, of Charleston, WV, passed from this life on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born on July 22, 1933, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Bryan J. and Inez B. (Carter) Read Obituary
It is very difficult to put into words exactly what Mr.Witt meant to me, but I will try, he reminded me to be thankful for the little things, he taught me that nothing lasts forever (except God), and most importantly he reminded me how to find the joy in the little things. I met Mr.Witt in a very difficult time in my life little did I know that he would end up helping me far more than I could ever help him. I will be forever grateful for his laughter.

So many funny and sweet memories with "pawpaw". I had the pleasure of taking care of him up until a couple months ago when I took another job. I loved having him walk up and down the halls with me or sit at the nurses station with me. He made my days enjoyable and he became like family to me. I am so saddened over his loss. I will always remember him. Prayers and love for the family.

So sorry to hear if Jim's passing. He and Virginia were so helpful to my mother and us three kids. Mom and Virginia used to take us swimming at Tygart lake all the time. Jim always made sure the truck was running. So sorry for your loss.
Jim Witt. & Virginia Witt were very dear friends of the clayton family. We always took our kids on swimming picnics. Our families were always together. Loved the Witt family.

Jim was a wonderful Brother-In-law that I have many memories of particularly. during the 50's who helped lead to Jesus Christ. He taught me how to drive his car and loaned it to me and didn't get upset when I wrecked it. He always had a laugh and smiles that made you feel good. I miss you, Jimmy.
Loved taking care of him, he was always so smiley and knew how to make you laugh❤️
