JANET M. PEMBERTON, 89, of Chesapeake, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Burial will follow. Janet was born January 12, 1923, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Clyde and Grace Newman Harlan. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanford Pemberton; four sisters, Kathleen Dean, Lorraine Figley, Lois Thomas, and Louise Harlan; and one brother, Paul E. Harlan. Janet is survived by her daughter, Karen Norris of Martinez, GA; two grandchildren, John Norris of Chesapeake, OH, and Jane Norris-Kelley; and four great grandchildren.
