Jan was a beautiful and kind lady, my second Mom as I was growing up, really. And a good friend now that I'm grown. Kathy, my dearest friend and sister, share many memories -- it seemed we were always together, either at your house or mine. I always enjoyed reading the scriptures that Jan shared with her Facebook family and friends, and will definitely miss 'hearing' from her in this way. She's in heaven, with my Mom and so many others now. We will get to be together again, one day. I love you.

She was a nationally known and respected expert in providing relocations assistance to those persons, businesses, factories, and nonprofit organizations required to move on account of government acquisition of real estate. She was a ground breaker rising from clerical positions to a professional position in a highly technical field. She was a valued, supportive and much loved friend. She was very proud of her family and never failed to remind us that she was a Christian and that we should be too. I will miss her.
Words seem inadequate... She will be greatly missed as a friend, mentor and colleague. I deeply admired her character and heart. She was a beautiful soul, who I loved very much. I will carry her with me every day for the rest of my life.
My wife Shelly and I send our condolences to Jan's family. I had the honor of working with Jan at the Corps of Engineers. She was both a wonderful person and an exceptionally knowledgeable and competent coworker. She helped countless people affected by real estate acquisition actions for Federal projects navigate the relocation program and was a teacher and mentor to many. She will be missed.

When I got the news of Jan's passing, I was just heartbroken. I worked with Jan for many years and was lucky enough to still spend some time with her at some of our girls night out lunches and dinners. She was a wonderful lady and always so kind. She will be missed. Prayers and much love to her family and friends. May God comfort you during this difficult and sad time.
