Janice Louise Hively's Obituary
Janice Louise Tanner Hively (J-Dawg)
Janice Hively went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Wednesday, September 7th, 2022. Janice was a woman of faith, and knew with full confidence that upon death, she would be absent from the body and present with the Lord. Janice was a kind, loving, and selfless woman who will be missed by all who loved her. J-Dawg, as she was known to some, was a nickname that would always make her laugh and bring a smile to her face which in turn, would spread smiles throughout the room. She was a master in her trades of Yahtzee, card games, jewelry, and shoe shopping and loved to pass her knowledge along to anyone that she could. Janice always dreamed of living in "a big house" and according to John chapter 14, Janice now has a mansion that is far greater and more beautiful than anything that could be acquired on earth.Janice was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Martha Tanner and sister/fellow card shark Charlotte Walker. Surviving is her daughter Tine (Dennis) Price and grandchildren Alex (Kayla) Haught, Abby Haught, Jessica (Harrison) Gish, and Mikey (Trish) Price. Also surviving, her sister Virginia (Tuck) Shepherd, along with nieces and nephews Lois (John) Schneider, Sandy (Lee) Johnson, Connie Yates, Tommy (Kris) Shepherd, Gene (Cheryl) Walker, Deedra (Bruce) Semones and many great nieces and nephews along with other family members and lifelong friends that to her, were family. There will be a graveside service held at 1 p.m. on Thursday September 8, 2022 Hatfield cemetary.
