Jareld Jay Kessick's Obituary
Jareld Jay Kessick, 58, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2026, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Born on March 24th, 1968, in Huntington, West Virginia, he was the son of James and Glenda Kessick. Jareld graduated from Fairland High School and Collins Career Technical Center for HVAC. He loved working with his hands and fixing things. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda M. Kessick; father, James Jay Kessick, and daughter, Merri E. Kessick-Reed. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Faulkner-Kessick; his children, Jerald (Morgann) Kessick and honorary son, Mike Flees and his three cherished grandchildren, Annabelle Kessick, Daniel Kessick and Coraline Jones; two sisters, Leca (Bill) Thompson and Melissa (Robert) Roy; many nieces and nephews and his dog, Marley. Jareld will be remembered for his kind heart, his willingness to help others, his talent for fixing things, and the deep love he had for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements.
