Jeannine Evelyn Rowell's Obituary
Jeannine Evelyn Rowell , 84, transitioned to her heavenly home on February, 18, 2025, in South Point, Ohio, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, Hubert Rowell, of Matthews, NC. Additional loved ones include her sons, Bill Overstreet (Janet) and Jeff Overstreet (Magaly), and five grandchildren, Joseph, Justin, Jordan, John and Jhovana. Nana was very proud of each and every one of her grandchildren and with great love prayed for them daily. She has two loving sisters, Sherry Baumgardner and Judy Spaulding. Jeannine was born in Huntington, WV, and had many faithful friends. Her friends described her as a generous, serving, and compassionate friend who loved with her whole heart. She anticipated going to heaven to see her Savior and her beloved mother, Gertrude Cross. Her grandfather, Oscar France, was the original founder of the Huntington City Mission. The family is extremely grateful for the incredible loving care given by her daughter-in-law, Magaly Overstreet. Also, a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington for services provided over the last several months of her life. Donations in her memory may be given to the Huntington City Mission, 624 10th Street, Huntington, W.V. 25701 or Hospice of Huntington, 1101, 6th Ave. Huntington, W.V. 25701. There will be a memorial service held at 11 a.m. Saturday March 1, 2025 at Woodmere Cemetery Abbey of Remembrance, with committal service to follow.
