Jeffrey Dale Lewis' Obituary
Jeffrey Dale Lewis, 71, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born on August 30, 1953, in Ashland, KY, he was the son of the late William and Bernice Johnson Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William “Billy” Lewis. Jeff was a wonderful person who would have done anything for anybody. To know Jeff was to love him. He loved camping with his grandchildren and fishing and hanging out with his friends. Most importantly, Jeff was an organ donor and continued to give and help others even after his passing. Jeff is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherri Lewis; children, Jennifer (Shannon) Hicks and Davey (Amy) Henderson; grandchildren, Bryan Riggs, Olivia Riggs, and Kaylee, Cade, and Abby Lewis; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Harrison Riggs; special friends, Kym and Mike Chinn, and Dean Caldwell; best friend and cousin, Steve “Bird” Holmes; and special fur babies, Heavy, Slim, and Lucy. Per his wishes, there will be no services. To honor Jeff’s memory, memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice in Ashland, KY, or to your local animal shelter.
