Jeffrey David Ramey's Obituary
Jeffrey David Ramey, 64 years young of Scottown, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his first-born daughter, Christy Dawn Ramey; father, Jimmy Ramey; brother, Gary Ramey; sister, Kathy Waugh; paternal grandparents, Leon and Avenele Ramey; maternal grandparents, Climetta Kingery and JD Ackley. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving, devoted wife of 45 years, Mary Jo Davis Ramey; his mother, Dianna (Eddie) Wright; brother, James (Cathy) Ramey; mother and father-in-law, Fred (Joan) Davis; step-mother, Connie Ramey; former step-father, Roger Camp (Bunky, Randy, and Keith); his loving children, JR Ramey, Justin (Heather) Ramey, Jennifer Kirk, and Jamie (Nathan) Spurlock; daughter-in-law, Amanda Ramey; his grandchildren, Natasha, Brandon, Aiden, Maddie, Michael, Brody, Jamison, and Karson; sister-in-law, Sherri Davis; numerous nieces and nephews, including two nieces that were more like daughters, Chelsea Stamper and Megan Snider; lifelong friend, Melanie Dishman, and several co-workers from Four J's Building Components which he owned and operated, and Special Metals. He was a member of the Masonic Ohio Valley Lodge #536 in Crown City, Ohio. Jeffrey was loved by all who met him and had a contagious smile. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. with Masonic Rites at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Henderson, officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Memorial Gardens in Miller, Ohio.
